Financial Aid Overview

Many Wharton MBA students rely on alternative private loans to cover their costs of attendance. While you may have been referred to one of these loans as part of your financial aid package, you may also borrow through them to cover all or part of your WG16 Second-Year MBA Student Budget or WG17 First-Year MBA Student Budget. Borrowing loans to cover 100% of the student budget will increase your overall debt at graduation.

If you are a previous loan borrower or a first-time borrower, please carefully review the loan instructions for U.S. and Permanent Resident Students or International Students and the student budget listed under the "Financial Aid" tab.

If you plan to participate in a Global Trek, please be aware that your student budget may only be increased for education-related trips, such as the courses listed below:

  • Global Immersion Program (Fall and Spring)
  • Global Modular Courses (Fall and Spring)
  • Semester in San Francisco (Fall 2015)
  • INSEAD Exchange Program

The Wharton MBA Financial Aid Office will send financial aid instructions to finance the additional costs of these programs after you are registered for the program.

If you have any questions regarding the financial aid process for this year, or any other financial aid related topics, please visit the Wharton Financial Aid Appointment Scheduler today to schedule an appointment with a member of the team.
